H&R Block Supports NEWBEginning through their Non-Profit Referral Program!
Need some help with your taxes this year? H&R Block will donate $25 to Jeff's Ballpark Tour / NEWBEginning, Inc. for every new client who brings a NEWBEginning referral form to them to have their 2007 taxes done! The program begins January 1, 2008 and runs through June 1, 2008. The required referral form to be taken to H&R Block can be downloaded here! So when you think about who will be doing your taxes this year, plan to use H&R Block - if you end up having to give to the federal government, at least you know you are also giving in a good way - to NEWBEginning! Partners Rx Management, an industry-leading pharmacy benefit management company located in Scottsdale AZ has pledged to help NEWBEginning! Every time a prescription claim is processed with Benefit Services Inc. (a division of Medical Mutual of Ohio) in Copley OH from a Partners Rx pharmacy, Partners Rx will give 3 cents to NEWBEginning. To date, Partners Rx has contributed over $3,700 this past year! Thanks to Bob Fields and the Partners Rx Management Team for getting involved in our mission!
Kim Kapustik Consulting Group of Realty One Living in Solon has chosen NEWBEginning/Jeff's Ballpark Tour as one of her preferred charities. Upon the close of every real estate transaction, Kim donates $100 of her commission to the charity of her clients' choice. The 2nd Annual Run4Research was held on Saturday, June 7th at the Center Valley Park's Bike Path & Trails in Twinsburg. The event was once again hosted by Mandy Sekerak. This year, the event provided an additional challenge for the more seasoned runner with a 10k trail run, along with the 5k trail run/walk. Contrary to last year's event (which was held in 2 feet of snow in April!), we had a very humid and hot day for the run but the turn out was great. If you'd like to help out with this event in the future, either as a volunteer or as a corporate sponsor, please contact us through our volunteer page. April 2, 2008 - Doc Hollidays, Las Vegas
Doc Hollidays in Las Vegas held a special NEWBEginning Day on April 2nd. All day, Doc's donated $10 for every 4-of-a-kind hit! While the folks at Doc's were trying their hand with Lady Luck, The Cleveland Indians were on the big screen getting lucky as they beat the White Sox, 7-2. Doc's hosted a buffet for the game (and what did Jeffrey love better than baseball and a good buffet?!!) and NEWBEginning merchandise was sold to our supporters out west. A special thanks to the ownership and staff of Doc Hollidays and Jeffrey's aunts/uncles Cheryl & Ray and Kim & Mike, as well as all of our Vegas supporters.

May 26, 2007 - Assumption Church Family Center in Broadview Heights
Benefit Services, Inc. hosted an amazing event over Memorial Day weekend to benefit Jeff's Ballpark Tour / NEWBEginning. The Dinner, Dance & Reverse Raffle was held at the Assumption Church Family Center in Broadview Heights on May 26th and naturally, baseball was the theme! All 200 tickets sold out for the event which included food & drink, silent auction and the reverse raffle with 50/50 side boards and a main board with the top prize of $7,000! The winner of that prize graciously donated it to Jeff's Ballpark Tour which added to the overall net proceeds exceeding $34,000! Thanks to Benefit Services, those who attended, as well as those who did not attend but made generous donations to Jeff's Ballpark Tour / NEWBEginning! April 7, 2007 - Twinsburg Fitness Center, Twinsburg Ohio
The 1st Annual Run4Research was held Saturday, April 7 at the Twinsburg Fitness Center and raised $2,500 for Jeff's Ballpark Tour/NEWBEginning. The event was organized by Mandy Sekerak, a friend of Jeffrey's. Despite the spring snow, it was a great event with nearly 100 people turning out for the one-mile family fun walk and 5k run which followed. We look forward to this event becoming an annual fundraiser within the community so stay tuned for more information next spring for the 2nd Annual Run4Research! March 2007 - Twinsburg Ohio & Independence Ohio
Mavis Winkle's Irish Pubs of Twinsburg and Independence supported Jeff’s Ballpark Tour during their prime GREEN season in March 2007 by donating 100% of the profits from sales of their St. Patricks Day tshirts, beads, as well as several other great fundraising efforts - shamrocks with well-wishes from customers were sold and became the green decor throughout the restaurants. In addition, several prime bar stools were auctioned off for "rental" of various time slots during the busy hours on St. Patricks Day. Fundraising efforts continued throughout March and Jeff's Ballpark Tour was awarded with a check for $4,077! Many heartfelt thanks go out to the amazing efforts of Marisa & Kim, the kind owners, and the whole incredible staff at both Mavis Winkle's Irish Pubs! Thank you SO MUCH for all of your amazing work! March 3, 2007 - Kent State University, Kent Ohio
SongFest, an annual event held by the InterGreek Programming Board at Kent State University, where Jeffrey attended college, chose Jeffrey’s NEWBEginning/Jeff’s Ballpark Tour charity as the recipient of their fundraising efforts. The SongFest performance culminates the fundraising events surrounding Greek Week and was held March 3, 2007 on campus. The Council presented the charity with a check for $10,011.36!! They expected to raise around $5,000 and ended up doubling their estimate for Jeffrey’s cause!! How awesome is that!! Thanks to the InterGreek Programming Board and all of the Greek organizations at Kent State!! Jeffrey is beaming down with thanks, wrapped in a big ol' toga! Chagrin Falls' Girl Scout Troop #674 chose Jeff’s Ballpark Tour as one of the recipients of proceeds collected from sales at the concession stand at the soccer fields of Gurney Elementary School in Chagrin Falls, where Jeffrey’s younger siblings attend school. The girls presented the charity with a check for $225 to be used toward furthering Jeffrey’s efforts for cancer awareness. Thanks to all of the girl scouts who worked at the concession stand! Jeff's Ballpark Tour is honored to have been chosen by you!
January 12, 2007 - The Cleveland Agora, Cleveland Ohio
JeffStock '07, a benefit concert organized and produced by several high school students from Twinsburg High School, Jeffrey's alma mater (2002), was held on January 12, 2007 at the Cleveland Agora. The concert featured several local bands and kicked off the 2007 fundraising season! Net proceeds of $1,000 were presented as a result of their efforts. We thank Jimmy Davis and T.A.R.S.
